Brandon did really well he ran it in 1hr 37min. I thought it was a lot harder than Painters even though my time was the same 1hr 51min. I mentally and physically lost it around mile 10 just after getting on the highway. I was sure glad to see Brandon around 12.5 to run me in the rest of the way. I didn't have much to push and ended up getting passed by a ton of people. After finishing I started feeling really lightheaded, dizzy, nauseated, and began sweating a ton. I felt somewhat like I did after-well during St. George, before I woke up in an ambulance. My family insisted that I get checked out at the medical tent, and before I knew it my mom had gone and got a nurse. While in the med tent they checked me out and my vitals were stable. Eventually they let me go but insisted that I go to the hospital to have some lab work done. So we spent the next hour of two, finding the hospital, calling my doctor, and getting my blood drawn. A few hours later Dr. Pratte called and told me that overall my labs looked good. My WBC was 23- pretty high but probably just due to the stress, my kidney functions were a little elevated, but not near as high as last time, and lastly my electrolytes were completely normal. After talking to Dr. Pratte we are thinking that I have a vasovagal issue. Basically while I run a lot of blood pools in my legs and if I stop to abrubtly it causes my blood pressure to drop drastically which leads to me being lightheaded and possibly collapse. We're hoping this is what my problem is, and nothing more serious.
Both my mom and dad did really well. My mom was able to kick my trash again. Good job Mom!! Both my Aunts did really good as well. And of course Congrats to Kris who won!! You are amazing! I'm glad we were there and able to see ya take it all.
